Colorful Sassanian Vase With Fresco From Merv

The role of women in Sassanid period has never been fully studied. However, this colorful vase perhaps tells a story of the family that owned it. The image on the vase depicts a beautiful fresco. The item was excavated from the Buddhist Stupa, Merv.
